New Blog: DNN, SEO, Ecommerce and More

Hi and welcome! With blogging predicted to peak in 2007, it's about time for me to jump on the bandwagon. Just kidding, that's obviously not the reason for this blog's birth, but it should help its outlook. Why then another blog on DotNetNuke (DNN), ecommerce, online marketing, web design & usability and related subjects you ask? The plain and simple answer is that I’ve lately felt the urge to publicly express my views, insights and comments on these topics, which in turn will hopefully spur healthy discussions. Besides that ego of mine, I think especially DNN will benefit from more daily commentary including fresh tips & tricks in one place. Right off the bet you say I’m too full of myself. Well, it’s actually all about you ... the reader.

Speaking of ego, here is a bit more about myself. I founded Seablick Consulting in October 2004, but started building websites with the release of the IBuySpy portal framework by Microsoft and Vertigo Software, Inc. back in 2001. I then quickly moved on to IBuySpy Workshop and ultimately DotNetNuke as we know it today. Since the introduction of skinning in DNN 2, I have been working closely with Vasilis Terzopoulos of thinkofdesign.com. He’s an award-winning skinner and the creative director and mastermind behind the “look & feel” of all websites found in my portfolio. I’ve since focused on DNN consulting & hosting, project management, SEO, ecommerce, web marketing and building a business around these interests.

Thanks for reading and be sure to check back often!

A very good e-commerce for DotNetNuke (DNN) is SDN Store, easy to set up and not expensive at all, you can find it at: http://www.sysdatanet.com . It has an excellent Guided Tour: http://www.sysdatanet.com/sysdatanet/dotnetnuke/GuidedTour/Default.aspx with a very popular forum: http://www.sysdatanet.com/forum where they reply almost instatntly. Most of the features are already built, however they can always add new ones for you, including installation and configuration at very competitive prices.
