AspDotNetStorefront ML for DNN Finally Out

AspDotNetStorefront ML for DotNetNukeAfter nearly 2 years of development and 7 months after I first mentioned it, AspDotNetStorefront ML for DotNetNuke has finally moved out of beta today. This marks the closing of a gaping hole as far as DNN ecommerce is concerned. I've clashed with numerous DNN community members over this assertion, but after putting 4 stores together based on AspDotNetStorefront ML, I could not be happier with the platform.

Back in June, I promised a review of AspDotNetStorefront ML/DNN, but shortly thereafter decided to wait out the beta. Again, my experience with AspDotNetStorefront is entirely based on the standalone ML version. So now that the wait is finally over, I can't wait to get my hands on the module suite to see how how the DNN version stacks up.

With my current commitments, however, and DNN OpenForce coming up, I will not be able to take a closer look at AspDotNetStorefront ML for DotNetNuke for another month or so. If you want to get in on the action now, visit the ASPDNSF DNN forum.

Stay tuned!

I wonder why they don't suport WebMoney?

I am looking forward to this review and also looking forward to just seeing a LIVE demo of the DNN version.

brad brad says:

Where is your review?

Tom Kraak Tom Kraak says:

Very good question. It is way overdue ... that's where it is :)-

I'm glad I've been holding off though as I've been working on my first "real world" implementation of the module (zoicamatei.com).

And ASPDNSF itself just released a major update to the module. So the time is right and I promise I'll have the review up by the end of the month.

Clayton Clayton says:

Did I miss the review or something?

Tom Kraak Tom Kraak says:

Sorry Clayton, I never got around to it. But I've worked on a number of DNN / ASPDNSF projects recently and I would be glad to answer any questions you may have.

David O'Leary David O'Leary says:

I'd love to hear your overall thoughs on aspdotnetstorefront now that you've worked with it. I need a solid, higher-end solution and am considering going outside the DNN world (Gasp!) for it. I'd love to know the quality of the code, ease of customization, flexibility of skinning, and cleanliness of the interface.

Here's one review.

Erik Erik says:

I'm also looking for a review of some sorts. If you look at their features matrix, you'll notice that the DNN is missing several key features, yet they charge more than for the straight up ML version.

Also the missing certifications are a cause for concern. We are required to be PABA and PCI compliant for e-commerce solutions.

Chad Nash Chad Nash says:

Is this module still around? Or did they discontinue it after DNN went to Snowcovered?

-Chad

Tom Kraak Tom Kraak says:

@ Chad - ASPDNSF pulled the plug on the module a few weeks ago claiming that DNN Corp refused to work on PCI compliance.
