Jeff Waters Joins Seablick Blogging Team

I'm excited to announce a further addition to the Seablick Consulting team of DNN enthusiasts and bloggers.

Jeff has an eclectic history. Raised as a self described “redneck” in Southern Indiana, his first computer was a Commodore 64. Armed with his data cassette recorder (his allowance couldn’t buy one of those hi-tech floppy disk drives) and a Vic 20 modem, he immediately recognized that there might be something useful about connecting computers together over telephone lines.

Jeff earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from the prestigious Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 1995 and started his engineering career in the automotive sector at Delphi and General Motors. By 1999, Jeff had developed a passion for virtual prototyping with Computational Fluid Dynamics and joined Blue Ridge Numerics to promote its usage in industry. In 2000, he moved his professional focus to sales & marketing and has been instrumental in growing the category of Upfront CFD.

Jeff’s involvement with DNN started by accident as he helped a friend build an Internet business and marketing strategy over the last few years with DNN. That hobby allowed Jeff to test out some new ideas on sales, marketing, and social networking. He looks forward to studying the Web 2.0 movement in more detail, with a particular focus on “keeping it real” by applying his sales experience with live humans in the wild.

Jeff has agreed to contribute his unique perspective on DNN usability, online marketing and social networking as a guest blogger here on seablick.com. You may also follow Jeff’s professional thoughts at lifeupfront.com.
