DNN Conference Sessions Announced

Posted by Tom on Monday, June 18, 2007 to DotNetNuke, DNN Friday, DNN News

In fact, you can now get all the details about this year's DotNetNuke OpenForce event on the official conference website. And here is a break-down of who is who. Let's see what else is going on this week.

  • Need a better idea of what's going on in your DNN portals such as changes to pages and modules? Check out Big Brother. Short of the URL, I could not figure out who's behind the module. If you are in the DNN module and consulting business or any business, why do you hide behind a website? I don't get it. Anyway, the module looks interesting.

  • Darryl Parker releases a feature packed Google Maps module including extensive online documentation. Offer driving directions on your website, take advantage of Local Search and much more.

  • OnyakTech announces MyLinks 1.6, which enables visitors to create their very own links on your site . There seem to be a bunch of modules around now that try to break into the social networking and user generated content game.

  • Speaking of Web 2.0, Steve White of Talwrn Technology releases FeedMailer, which sends out email updates based on RSS subscriptions. Similar to what I do on my blog via FeedBurner.

  • Core team member Nik Kalyani blogs about changes and enhancements to dotnetnuke.com.

  • Core team member Michael Washington "squeezes" a video player module out of the Silverlight SDK and covers integration with DNN.

  • Mitchel Sellers provides a good summary of how to tackle website loading delays due to ASP.NET startup, which naturally affects every DNN based site.
